Junyan Wang(王俊彦)received his PhD degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2012. Before that, he received the B.Eng. degree from the School of Communication and Signal Processing and the dual B.Sc. degree from the School of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2007.

During his PhD, Junyan Wang mainly worked on object segmentation and active contours. His PhD thesis is "Reformulating Active Contours for Object Segmentation".  

Junyan Wang is currently a
postdoctoral scholar with Laboratory of Neuro imaging (LONI) at USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute of Keck Medicine School of USC, and He is a member of the Neuro Image Computing Research (NICR) group led by Dr. Yonggang Shi. He is working towards new computational methods for neuroimaging and its applications in clinical brain research for, but not limited to, visual impairment, mental disorder and Alzheimer's disease.
